Location & getting here

Many roads lead to Rome but only one to the Kinderhotel Testerhof! In winter, it’s advisable to pack the winter equipment for your car! Snow is part of the surroundings here.

By car or plane

Getting to the Kinderhotel Testerhof

We hope that you have a pleasant journey and your holiday can finally get started. We’re available to answer any questions.

On the A12 (Inntal motorway), take the "Zillertal" exit.
Stay on the main route through the valley (B 169, approx. 30 km) to Mayrhofen until you get to the "Tuxertal" junction at the end of Mayrhofen. It’s all uphill from here.
Drive through Finkenberg. You’ll come to the town of Vorderlanersbach approximately 5 km after Finkenberg.
You’ll see a small sawmill after the town sign on the left-hand side.
Our hotel is 50 m further on the left-hand side.

In winter, we recommend have winter equipment for your car (snow chains).

The closest station is “Mayrhofen im Zillertal” and is approx. 12 km away.

From there, you can take a bus or taxi to the hotel.

The Zillertal

The Testerhof lies in the heart of the Ziller Valley Nature Park. Surrounded by 3,000 metre peaks and with views of the mighty summits, there’s nothing to stand in the way of lengthy hikes. The cosy huts await with hearty afternoon snacks and the original Ziller Valley schnapps, the Meisterwurz. The Ziller Valley is the perfect region for hiking and trekking.

The Tuxertal valley

The Tuxertal valley is challenging but also wildly romantic. A lonely valley in the middle of nowhere but where the high life begins on the glacier after only 8 km. The tallest mountain is the impressive Olperer with a height of 3,476 m. The lifts take you up to a height of 3,250 m! In the north you’ll see the Tuxer Alps and in the south the Zillertal Alps and the popular nature park.
